Nature of MJMHP

MJMHP is a professional association, not a clinical service, referral authority or health regulator. MJMHP does not assess, verify or guarantee the clinical competence, current registration status, or suitability of any listed clinician for any particular individual or presenting concern.

Membership of MJMHP indicates that a clinician has self-identified as a Jewish mental health professional serving the Melbourne Jewish community. It does not represent any assessment or endorsement by MJMHP of the clinician's qualifications, skills or practice.

Registration and credentials

Users of the directory are encouraged to independently verify that any clinician they wish to engage holds current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body (for example, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for psychologists, psychiatrists and other registered health practitioners, or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for social workers).

Your responsibility

Users of the directory are responsible for making their own enquiries and decisions about the suitability of any clinician for their circumstances. We recommend contacting clinicians directly to discuss availability, fees, areas of expertise, and any other questions relevant to your needs before commencing treatment.
